LEAVING A LEGACY

           Shalem Christian Academy was established in 2022 by Pastors Julio and Mayra Vazquez of the Army of Power Pentecostal Church in Savannah, GA. They are parents of two children and have worked for many years in the ministry of children and youth as leaders, counselors, teachers, and directors of the ESLR Summer Camp.

         Pastors Vazquez had the concern about the education of their children and of the youngsters who attend their congregation, since, as time goes by, morality and values have been fading in society, and education has become increasingly contrary to the Christian faith.

          It is because of this concern that the need to open a Christian school was born in their heart, so that this rising generation will receive not only an academic education, but also a formation based on biblical principles, in order to train them as successful professionals and leaders with high spiritual values.

          After a time of prayer and training, they decided to begin this mission by carefully choosing teachers and staff committed to God, loving, prepared, sensitive to needs, passionate about teaching, and willing to work with excellence for the intellectual, moral, emotional, physical, spiritual, and social growth of each student.

          This project began thanks to God and to the financial support and resources of our congregation. Shalem Christian Academy is owned and operated under the Army of Power Pentecostal Church.
